Privacy Policy
Thalassa has no account system, no server, no analytics SDK, no ads, and no third-party tracker. The extension works by processing a small amount of data locally in Chrome.
1. Data processed locally
To provide the pause before distracting sites, Thalassa stores the following in chrome.storage.local on your own device:
- Websites you choose to manage and their pause mode.
- Timestamps for moments when you wanted to open a managed site, used to show your own daily pattern.
- Temporary pass and pause states, such as "Open anyway" grace periods and snooze.
- Basic extension settings.
2. Data sent off your device
None. Thalassa does not transmit your browsing data, settings, timestamps, or pause history to us or to any third party. The extension does not make network requests while running.
3. Optional Chrome permissions
If you click "find my most-visited sites" in settings, Chrome may ask whether Thalassa can access your browser's top sites list. This is optional. If granted, the list is used only on your device to suggest sites you may want to manage. It is not uploaded.
4. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose user data. There is no server copy to share.
5. Deletion
You can delete your local Thalassa data from the extension settings by choosing "Erase everything", by clearing the extension's site data in Chrome, or by uninstalling the extension. Because there is no server copy, deletion is local and immediate.
6. Children
Thalassa is intended as a self-control tool for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent age in your region.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
8. Contact
For privacy questions, use the support email shown on Thalassa's Chrome Web Store listing.
